Sukabumi – Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto inaugurated nine points of clean water sources, centered in Karanganyar Village, Jampang Kulon, Sukabumi on Saturday (30/12).
Prabowo said that the assistance was part of the community devotion through cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the University of Defense (Unhan) of the Republic of Indonesia.
“This is part of community service. We want the University of Defense to be able to serve directly,” said Prabowo.
He also reminded that water will become scarce if not managed properly. Therefore, Prabowo urged residents and relevant parties to always maintain and save water in their daily lives.
“Water will become scarce. I entrust everyone to think about how to maintain, preserve water and find other points of clean water sources,” Prabowo continued.
The nine points of water assistance are spread in several villages, namely Karangmekar Village; Purabaya Pasir Batok Village; Citamiang Village; and Karanganyar Village which received two points of clean water source assistance.
Up to now, a total of 110 points of water source assistance have been inaugurated and spread throughout Indonesia, such as in Sumba, Lombok, Maluku, Central Java, East Java, and Madura.
