Ankara – The camaraderie between Indonesia’s Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was evident after their private meeting in Ankara, Turkey, on Tuesday, July 30.
As Prabowo was about to leave the Palace and bid farewell to Erdoğan, the Turkish President personally escorted him to the waiting car outside, gesturing forward with his hand.
“This is an honor for me,” Prabowo said before entering the car and shaking hands with Erdoğan.
Earlier, during the meeting with Erdoğan, Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening its strategic relationship and partnership with Turkey, particularly through cooperation in the defense and defense industry sectors
“We remain determined to enhance the historical friendship between our two countries,” Prabowo said.
Additionally, Prabowo highlighted that Turkey is a crucial partner for Indonesia. Therefore, both countries must always build trust and continuously strive to enhance their armed forces’ capabilities.
During his stay in Turkey, Prabowo also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and several leaders from Turkey’s defense industry.
