Jakarta — Former President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), paid a visit to President-elect Prabowo Subianto at his residence on Jl. Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, Thursday (19/9).
SBY arrived at Prabowo’s home in the afternoon and left at 14:30 WIB in a black Lexus with the license plate B 414 RI. Shortly after arriving, SBY entered Prabowo’s residence for a private discussion over lunch and coffee, lasting about an hour.
“Thank you to the 6th President of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, for the in-depth discussion this afternoon,” Prabowo wrote in an Instagram post on his account, @prabowo.
In the accompanying photo, Prabowo and SBY are seated at a dining table with food and coffee in front of them. SBY wore a light blue shirt, while Prabowo was dressed in a light brown safari suit.
“We are optimistic about working together to realize the welfare of all Indonesian people,” Prabowo continued.
After their meeting, Prabowo escorted SBY to his car, where they shook hands. Also present at the meeting was Prabowo’s son, Didit Hediprasetyo, who helped escort SBY, along with Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman Sugiono.
SBY had previously mentioned in various forums, including during the Democratic Party’s anniversary celebration, that he frequently discusses matters with Prabowo.
“I often have discussions with the President-elect. He has clear ideals, a clear agenda, and targets that, in my opinion, are right,” SBY said on September 9, 2024. (RR)
