Netflix has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated Season 3 of the Japanese series Alice in Borderland. Set to premiere in September 2025, the news was shared on Netflix’s official social media account on Wednesday (12/2) along with an exclusive photo featuring the main characters.
The photo shows Arisu portrayed by Kento Yamazaki, Usagi played by Tao Tsuchiya, and a mysterious man in a wheelchair sitting on a rooftop facing a large flag with the Joker card symbol, referencing the closing scene of Season 2. Netflix Japan has confirmed that Season 3 will continue the story from the end of the previous season, where the appearance of the Joker card raised speculations about new challenges ahead for the characters.
Although plot details for Season 3 are still kept under wraps, fans are speculating that Arisu and Usagi will once again face even more dangerous and thrilling survival games. Adapted from the popular manga by Haro Aso, Alice in Borderland follows the story of Arisu, a young man trapped in a parallel world filled with deadly challenges that test his wit and survival skills.
Since its debut in December 2020, Alice in Borderland has captivated a global audience and even made it to the Top 10 Netflix list in 70 countries. The second season released in December 2022 achieved remarkable success by ranking first in 17 countries and receiving a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The manga version of the series concluded in its second season, leaving fans curious about how the story will unfold in Season 3.
